On September 27, 2024, the University of the Aegean organized a dissemination workshop in Rhodes to present the project’s outcomes and share best practices. This event provided a platform for educators, researchers, and policymakers to explore the integration of XR tools into language education, aiming to promote social inclusion and active participation among the target groups.
A key element of the XRWomen project is the e-learning platform, which offers educational material and resources for language teachers and learners. The platform facilitates access to innovative educational content, lesson plans, and XR applications, supporting educators in improving their teaching practices and learners in developing language skills in immersive environments.
By utilizing XR technologies, the XRWomen project creates engaging and realistic communicative contexts, allowing learners to effectively practice their language skills. This approach not only focuses on language development but also fosters social inclusion, empowering women to actively participate in their communities.
The project’s commitment to inclusion aligns with broader educational priorities, emphasizing equality, combating discrimination, and integrating refugees and migrants. Through the innovative use of XR tools, XRWomen contributes to creating upskilling pathways and improving educational accessibility for women facing various challenges.
